Wrestling with God is something that I am familiar with. I don't always like to align myself to God's Will. I usually prefer my own.
Go figure. You think I would learn by now!
The wise words spoken by the Pharisee Gamaliel, in today's reading can most certainly be taken to heart. God knows what is best for me and when I "fight God" I am really spinning my wheels and making my life even more complicated.
As I reflect upon the great courage and faithfulness of the apostles that we read in the Acts of the Apostles these days, I cannot help but ask myself, if I am that courageous? Do I live as if I am convinced that Jesus is risen and with me? If so, why would I fight his Will for me? Why would I resist his graces?
Living Resurrection Spirituality is not all words. It is action. My words mean nothing if I do not embody these truths in my life.
I pray for the grace to align my will with God's Will. I know it will take many trials and errors on my part, but I also know God loves me and understands. He is RISEN! That's all I need to know.
