On that day the deaf shall hear
the words of a book;
And out of gloom and darkness,
the eyes of the blind shall see.
The lowly will ever find joy in the LORD,
and the poor rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
(Isaiah 29: 17-24)
We are living in "that day!" Though we have not yet seen the Lord, we love him and we believe in him. Even as this is being written, Christians in other parts of the world are being persecuted because they refuse to deny him. Even in their pain, they find JOY!
Joy is a "given" when one realizes that Emmanuel has come to us and even after tremendous suffering, Emmanuel, Jesus, is RISEN!
We are never alone
No matter what our present anxiety, worry or pain,
Jesus stands with us through it all.
Let us REJOICE and be GLAD!
