The Joy of Realizing that God Speaks through Others!

It is always wonderful to share with others about their journey in life.   One of the things that excites me is to hear the vocation stories of people I meet.   How did she meet him?   How did you know that you were called to be a priest?   What is it like to dedicate your life to Christ as a single man or woman in the Church today?   With so many religious communities in our world, how did you know that God was calling you to a specific Community? How do these vocations enrich you?  Each time I engage in a conversation of this kind, I always come away enriched and thrilled by the very evident ways God works in each of our lives.   Is this the same for you?

A person with a secular vision may believe that a certain life story is only a mere "coincidence."   Ah, but a person who is grounded in his or her faith, knows so well that nothing is a coincidence in our lives.   Everything is grace, even the most difficult experiences we go through.

This vision of faith, to see Christ in each moment of our lives, both the joyful and sorrowful mysteries, and to open ourselves to receive whatever graces are there, as costly as they may be, is what our Resurrection Spirituality if all about.   Christ led the way for us and asked us to be his disciples by doing the same . . . walking through the suffering, cross and death experiences that are part of the human condition, towards the resurrection and life that awaits all those who place their faith and trust in him.

God speaks to me at every moment of my life, if I listen.  God offers me tremendous graces each day.   I recognized Christ in a graced telephone conversation I had today.   How did you?
