I don't know what I would do if I did not have You. I can only imagine the pain and sorrow Your Mother, friends and followers felt on this day. I spend this day, grateful for Your presence which is always with me.
I unite my sufferings with Yours today. I offer them for those I have promised to pray for. I offer them as a token of my gratitude to You for conquering the death that we fear and for promising eternal life and joy to those who love You. As we move through this Sacred Triduum once more, I am drawn to recall the times I have borne grief for the loss of a loved one. I am also drawn to bring before You those I know who are experiencing raw grief from the recent deaths of those they loved. Even the world news brings before me, the sudden and unexpected air crashes and ferry accidents which come upon unsuspecting travelers, leaving behind families torn apart by shock and anguish, while the world looks on.
We call this GOOD FRIDAY because so much good has come out of your anguished death for us. I will pray in gratitude throughout this day.
